Much ado about nothing

BY WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE

Rexville-Blackrock Amphitheatre

July 18 - August 9

“Some Cupid kills with arrows, some with traps.”
— Act III, scene 1

Prepare for a battle of wits and a whirlwind of deception as Shakespeare’s sparkling comedy, Much Ado About Nothing, takes the stage at the Rexville-Blackrock Amphitheatre this summer.

In Messina, love is in the air—but not everyone is keen to embrace it. The sharp-tongued Beatrice and proud Benedick are locked in a war of words, while the young lovers Claudio and Hero find their happiness threatened by a dangerous scheme. Another conspiracy takes a markedly opposite slant: a trick played on Beatrice and Benedick that turns sworn rivals into unsuspecting romantics. Misunderstandings multiply, masks slip, and hearts are tested—but can love triumph over deception?

Co-Directors Bjorn Anders and Nate Wheeler partner to bring Shakespeare’s quick-witted, heartwarming tale of love, laughter, and redemption to life.
